Which sites have I visited

La Grande Place, Brussels – I was only 10 when I was here, but I have been here :D

Costa Rica
Area de conservacion Guanacaste – This is the region I lived in in Costa Rica. To me – one of the most beautiful places in the world. The Area de conservacion de Guanacacste does not consist of one singel spot, but several areas and I have been to most of them.

Talamanca Range-La Amistad Reserves / La Amistad National Park – I have not actually visited as in hiking around in the national park, but I have driven through it by bus and car a few times.

Fortress of Suomenlinna – I went to visit Suomenlinna during my first visit to Helsinki, Finland. It is a lovely spot.

Palace and Park of Versailles – I went to visit Versailles during my first trip to France. It was actually during my second trip abroad in my life, back in the summer of 1985.
I don’t remember too much from the trip that mom and dad brought me and my sister on, but I DO remember Versailles. It was every 10 year old little girls biggest dream. The biggest Royal castle in the world (maybe not for real, but definately for me when I was 10). A real palace and much nicer than the royal palace we have in Norway. It was so beautiful. Both the inside of the palace and the surrounding park. I have vague memories of the rooms of Queen Marie-Antoinette and some hidden path between her room and that of her housband King Louis XVI.
My biggest memory however, was that from the outside of the castle – when mom and dad bought me two dolls in the 16th century costume from some street sellers. They had a beauful matching yellow dress and suit.

We also visited the Bancs of the Seine in Paris.

The Historical Site of Lyon – Read my blog entries from my visit to Lyon. I loved Old Lyon. It is a beautiful site :D. It was made a Unesco site in 1998.

Bremen Town Hall and Roland on the Marketplace of Bremen

Acrolpolis, Athens – I visited Acropolis during my trip to Athens in July 2009. I went there to visit my friend Kalliope and while she spent her days at work – I spent mine walking the streets of Athens in +40C. It was amazing to see all the archeological sites of Athens and especially Acropolis.
